In this course, I share the strategy and experiments that led me to complete 500 coaching hours in 13 months.
I also share foundational aspects to help you get your coaching practice off the ground.
The course content in the section below will give you a better understanding of the topics covered.
I've added some bonus content, such as my revenue monitoring spreadsheet, which I use to this date.
Far from basic, I've created a spreadsheet that helps you identify the lifestyle you wish to have & translate this into a monthly target (& min. average rate).
As you progress through the year, the spreadsheet helps you monitor quickly and easily whether you are on track.
What is not included:
- how to create a signature programme, although I'm sharing the details of the course I took to learn how to do this effectively
- how to set up & run a company
It is about 2 hours long, broken down in 31 content-related micro videos.
As each purchase gives the student lifetime access, it is anticipated that the number of videos may increase over time.
My name is Josianne Robb.
The content of this course is based on my experience: I launched my coaching business in 2021 during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Despite multiple lock-downs, I completed 500 coaching hours with individual clients in 13 months, without using digital marketing and with zero adverts.
I was awarded the International Coaching Federation's Professional Coaching Certification in May 2022.
Don't just take my word for it: feel free to check the official ICF register here.
I shared some of my experiments on LinkedIn (see some of the featured posts here), which led to a lot of requests for virtual coffee meetings. I initially accepted these before realising that it was not a good use of my time.
I challenged myself to find a more effective way to help the coaching community.
I piloted an experiential learning group, with 9 coaches and 1 breath worker based in Hong Kong, Cambodia & the United Arab Emirates. The pilot was very successful (check out the testimonials section below) and inspired me to go further out of my comfort zone and created this course to help many more coaches.
I stepped down from my role as board member for the ICF Hong Kong chapter to avoid any conflicts of interest, launched myself into the art & science of creating a digital course and the rest is history!
When I trained as a coach, I was surprised by the lack of focus on the business aspect of setting up & running a coaching practice.
As I searched the topic online, I became overwhelmed by the number of organisations supporting coaches primarily through digital marketing.
I was progressing in unchartered territory, as this was my first business after 30 years of corporate life and my first experience of a pandemic (?!). I felt overwhelmed which, for me, results in thinking too much and taking too little action.
I was crystal clear that, during a pandemic, there would be no shortage of people in need of coaching, so how could I best meet them in a simple, gradual way while in parallel, learning to set up and run my business?
So I decided to go back to basics and ignore digital marketing to begin with. I set out to create a few experiments to help me build up my hours and build credibility rapidly.
Had I known then what I know now, I think I could have achieve the ICF PCC accreditation in less than 9 months.
It means a lot to me to share this knowledge: it is believed that over 80% of coaches give up the profession after 2 years, for lack of customers.
We live at an exciting time of extensive change and we need more, rather than less, coaches.
As John De Martini says, "when we're on a mission, there's no competition" so it seem fitting to share my experience.
I've set the cost at HKD 1,000, which is approximately USD 130 (as at Feb. 2023). Check out the currency converter here.
The business and I are based in Hong Kong and, due to technical constraints, we are unable to offer check out for this product in currencies other than HKD. Simply use your debit/credit card as for any online transaction.
